Health Education

Social determinants and environmental factors make it difficult to implement sustainable solutions that will have a lasting impact in the region. Whether it be cultural, social, or even religious barriers, there are various factors that our team needs to consider when deciding on what will be the most effective solution. The first and the most important solution in preventing the spread of
parasitic diseases, therefore, is simply making the community aware of the dangers their daily activities pose as far as contracting the said disease.
Health Education/Awareness campaigns are solutions that will be extremely informational, cost-effective, and easier to implement and distribute to affected populations in Africa. In tandem with local and government officials, our team will be able to analyze and evaluate what forms our campaigns should take and how we can best reach the communities.

Board Games, brochures, or even informational movies are all avenues that are being explored by our team. We what to find what is most effective for different demographics (i.e school-age children, women, etc.) in our target region and how we can implement them in a sustainable and culturally appropriate manner. Connecting to representatives who are familiar with the region of our choice would be extremely beneficial for our team.
