Bringing Awareness to Schistosomiasis

Who we are

CRISP is a student-run research project investigating sustainable & cost-effective methods to prevent the spread of the neglected tropical disease schistosomiasis while trying to be culturally non-intrusive and socially aware of the communities it aims to target.

According to the World Health Organization, the epidemiology of NTDs are complex and often relates to environmental conditions, making controlling them challenging. We aim to bring social awareness to NTDs, expand health education, and build interest in the Rutgers community in finding sustainable, ecologically friendly, and culturally non-intrusive public health measures.
